BBCBritish premieres for three Italian composers in a studio concert on 12th June presented by BBC Radio 3’s “Hear and Now” programme with the  BBC Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Tito Ceccherini, at the Maida Vale Studios performing: Sensible byStefano GervasoniI fuochi oltre la ragione by Salvatore Sciarrino and A Victor Hugo Daza by Emanuele Casale. The latter composition is dedicated to 17-year-old Victor Hugo Daza, killed in Bolivia while on strike against the privatisation of water. Opening in an almost triumphant manner, the work is both violent and delicate at the same time and develops with extremely varied colours, explosions and caresses, descending gradually into a kind of abyss of string, woodwind and brass instruments.
