Aida di Alberto CollaOn 9th September and 1st October at the Teatro Gobetti in Turin, as part of INCANTI, the International Figure Theatre Festival, a rather unusual version of Aida will be presented. Drawing inspiration from the subtlety and the dream-like aspect of shadow theatre, Alberto Colla has written a reduced version for chamber ensemble of Verdi’s masterpiece: “Although containing material which has inspired some of the most spectacular staging in the world of opera, (Aida) also contains elements characterized just as markedly by restraint and intimacy, subtle moments of genuine reflection”, explains Colla. Additional performances: on 25/10 at Figurentheaterfestival in Mistelbach (Austria), on 16
