On 9th May the network Mediaset will transmit the television film Aldo Moro, the President based on the life of the statesman killed in 1978 by the Red Brigades. Directed by Gianluca Maria Lavarelli, the film stars the actor Michele Placido. The music soundtrack for the film is by Marco Betta, who returns for a second time to the television world after the success of Maria Montessori in 2007. Commenting on the work, the composer said: "I imagined a kind of symphony with variations which like a web envelops and fills out the folds between the images in the film. Like a sort of parallel spirit the music tortuously follows the unfolding of events tracing a series of musical shadows that continuously give place to new variations up until the birth of a new idea which takes complete form only at the end of the film."
